To assist APCO Australasia reach our Public Safety community and their supporters, we have created an APCO Australasia discussion group through a professional on-line networking service called LinkedIn (
www.linkedin.com). The APCO Australasia discussion group is managed by our Director Gerard Cusick who also chairs the Policy and Standards committee.
APCO Australasia will post new topics for discussion every 10-14 days, with old topics being archived and condensed into common themes used as input to topics for more formal forums and committee meetings. Discussion topics are also welcome from any members of the group.
Participation in the discussion group requires being a member of Linkedin. Those not wishing the become members of Linkedin are invited to send their discussion topics to

APCO Australasia supports a number of issues relevant to the needs of a changing Emergency Services environment. These include the introduction of new technologies, enhanced training requirements for Emergency Services officials, and ensuring public safety’s access to sufficient spectrum resources for the deployment of a national mobile broadband network.
